We didn’t quite achieve our goal of finishing the race,” said Mick Schumacher, annoyed about his Alpine team’s botched performance at the 24 Hours of Le Mans on Instagram. “But if you look at it positively, the speed and work ethic was there. There is still a lot to learn, after all it was only our 4th race… onwards and upwards,” wrote the Swiss-born ex-F1 driver in English.
Schumacher’s debut in the famous classic came to an abrupt end after just five and a half hours – but the 25-year-old from the Alpine team is still satisfied. “We fought for a good position in the race until the end.
